Leading media company dedicated to the production and broadcasting of various television channels, both open and cable, as well as radio. It encompasses 3 open TV channels (Telemetro, RPC, Mall TV), 2 cable TV channels (ECO TV and Cableonda Sports), and 2 radio stations (RPC Radio and Caliente), each brand with its respective presence on social media. Their digital platforms attract over 2 million unique visitors per month.
THE CHALLENGE
Before the migration, Corporación Medcom faced various challenges with its on-premises infrastructure. Legacy systems hindered efficiency, scalability, and innovation. They modernized their information technology landscape to remain competitive and meet the growing demands of customers seeking seamless and engaging media experiences.
THE SOLUTION
Solusoft proposed the use of Oracle Database Cloud Service platform technologies to deploy database instances and achieve significant savings in Oracle Database licensing support.
The virtual machines managed on the SPARC platform were also migrated to run as Compute Cloud Service, taking advantage of the upgrade to the latest available versions of Oracle Forms and Reports. Connectivity was established for the use of a point-to-point VPN between Corporación Medcom and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Additionally, a load balancer was enabled for the secure availability of their public applications on Oracle APEX.
